Email marketing

Yep, it’s a jungle out there – especially with the web of social media that blankets us online – but tools and technology are being developed every day to keep bring us closer with more refined filters and dashboards to sift through the masses for what we WANT to receive.

And using social media marketing is definitely one channel that cannot be ignored to build solid relationships in social media.

But that’s just ONE channel.

When building a marketing campaign, think about all the other touch points you have with your customers – especially if you are in retail, don’t miss your points of physical entry. You should be letting your customers (or prospects) know that you also have a presence in social media. Direct mail is tried and true, especially for establishments that need to sell seats on a calendar basis (the arts and entertainment), but how can you ignore the power of  Email marketing?

I took a FREE webinar with MailChimp’s Raul (yep, he gave me and a few others the lowdown! on getting started. ) I’m looking to add email marketing for Mesob, an Ethiopian Restaurant in Montclair, NJ -  I am not only a huge fan , but I have the privilege of being a marketing manager for them as well.

I brought Mesob social with a Facebook Fan Page, and now I will be able to integrate email marketing with their already social group – they are engaged, engaged and they GET it!

So does Mailchimp.  Eep eep!
