Finding a sliver of my day as a new mom to sit down and do the things necessary to keep up my online content is a definite challenge. But there are some ways I’ve found it possible, and you can, too, if you just break it all down to the basic elements of what it is that you are producing. Here are my five must-haves to keep my online content growing.
What is Micro-video?
A microvideo can be a short video, a stop-and-start video strung together to be one seamless video (Instagram does this), or multiple photos put together into a video clip slideshow. Typically, they’re made with a smartphone – simple to shoot, edit and share.
Micro-video became very popular in 2013, and continues to grow in popularity with apps like Instagram and Vine. It is a quick way to share an engaging piece of visual content, sort of like a mini-movie. Especially as social media feeds become even more cluttered with not only regular social media posting, but advertisements thrown in there, as well.
We have to do whatever it takes to keep the attention of our fans and followers, and micro-video is a great way to do this, since the average person just doesn’t take the time. Most businesses share photos and posts, but there is another way to capture your audience’s attention, so the next time you reach for your smartphone camera, bring something to life through video. Truth is, it’s very simple to do. Remember to keep them entertaining and informative.
Today, I’m just going to go through some quick tips with you on how you can search engine optimize your efforts on Periscope just like I’m doing myself. These were some tips that I think will really, really work nicely for you.
1) Download the Periscope app (pretty obvious!)- You’ve got to get the Periscope app to be able to broadcast from wherever you are. I think that it’s going to be a real success for brands out there wanting to do online marketing.
2) Autosave your scopes – make sure on your settings in the Periscope app that you check off you want your scopes to be auto saved. Not everybody realizes that. What happens is you have this content that you’re doing and you want to make sure that you have this video so that you can use it for other things like perhaps your blog. You need to auto save your scopes. Otherwise, you’re just throwing your content away.
